Sri Jagannath Temple


Baripada: This is the third popular Jagannatha temple of Odisha after Puri, Shabara Shreekshetra in Koraput being the second. Jagannatha along with his elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra are worshipped in the main temple. The temple was built by the royal Bhanja dynasty of Mayurbhanj.

Jwalamukhi Temple


Baripada: The Jwalamukhi fair is held twice a year during the Navratri of Chaitra and Aswin. The devotees go round the 'Jwala Kund' in which the sacred fire burns, making their offerings. The 'Gorakh Tibbi' a centre of the Gorakhpanthi Naths is placed near the Jwala Kund. Folk-dances, songs, plays, wrestling matches and athletics are some of the important attractions of the fair. The Jwalamukhi Temple in Kangra becomes the venue for the major fair.

Maa Ambika Temple

Shirdi Sai Temple


Baripada: In the year 1998, “Shri Shirdi Sai Kripa Sansthan, Baripada” was constituted in the presence of Revered Guruji Sri Chandra Bhanu Satpathyji, Sri Suresh Panda and other SAI devotees. At that point of time, there was no SAIBABA temple in Baripada town. Every thursday evening, few devotees would gather in the house of Guruji to perform Baba’s arti & thence render bhajans .This gathering at Guruji`s home continued for sometime till the year 2000.
